WEAPONS

• FCMA offers group training in many weapons including but not limited to katana, bo and jo staff, Japanese fighting sticks, sai, nunchuka, three-sectional staff, throwing knives, fighting knives, and long knives.
• Weapons training is incorporated as a component of the group Aikido, Karate and Free Form classes.
• The specific weapons taught are dependent upon a students current rank and the accompanying weapons kata and fighting requirements for that rank.  Weapons training is required at advanced ranks for both Aikido and Karate students.
• Use of martial art weapons for self-defense is integrated into all martial art styles (training) offered.
• Defense against common street weapons such as baseball bats, knives, guns and clubs is required for all students.
