Board Breaks

  • Board Breaking teaches the student how to develop his focus and Ki (internal strength)
  • If board breaking is taught properly (with proper goals and emphasis) the student learns to focus his striking power and ki toward a single location or mark.
  • Students learn to create maximum damage using a controlled (and seemingly effortless) strike.
  • Breaking boards, per se, is not significant to the training in the martial arts but can be used to develop skills that are tremendous beneficial in martial arts, self-defense and everyday life.
  • Through relaxation exercises and mental (zen) training, martial art practitioners can transform the impossible into the improbable, the improbable in to the probable, and the probable into the certain.
